ICETA 2025

1. Submission Policy

• Authors must understand and abide by ICETA’s submission policy.
• ICETA submission policy requires that authors should only submit original work that has neither appeared elsewhere for publication, nor is under review for another refereed publication.
• Authors submitting articles must disclose whether there are prior publications, e.g., conference articles, by the authors that are similar, whether published or submitted. They must also include information that very clearly states how the new submission differs from the previously published work(s). Such articles should be cited in the submitted article.
• Authors shall inform editors of multiple submissions of articles. Multiple submissions are not allowed at ICETA conferences.
• Plagiarism is the use of someone else’s prior ideas, processes, results, or words without explicitly acknowledging the original author and source. Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable and is considered a serious breach of professional conduct, with potentially severe ethical and legal consequences. Papers will be checked within the context of plagiarism. If paper plagiarism exceeds 15% (percent), paper will be rejected and excluded from conference program and proceedings.
• Authors will submit their papers via Online Submission System at www.iceta.sk upon their registration at the same webpage.
• The use of content generated by artificial intelligence (AI) in an article (including but not limited to text, figures, images, and code) shall be disclosed in the acknowledgments section of any article submitted to an IEEE publication. The AI system used shall be identified, and specific sections of the article that use AI-generated content shall be identified and accompanied by a brief explanation regarding the level at which the AI system was used to generate the content. The use of AI systems for editing and grammar enhancement is common practice and, as such, is generally outside the intent of the above policy. In this case, disclosure as noted above is recommended.
• An article submitted for publication to ICETA conference should be original work submitted to a single publication. The article should not have been published previously and should not be concurrently under consideration for publication elsewhere. ICETA Publishing Committee assumes that material submitted to its publications and information products is properly available for general dissemination for the readership of those publications and products. It is the responsibility of the authors, not ICETA Publishing Committee, to determine if disclosure of their material requires the prior consent of other parties. If prior consent is required, then authors must obtain permission prior to article submission.
• Recycling of material in a new document happens when the material in the new document is identical, or substantively equivalent in both form and content, to that of the source. At times, it may be necessary for authors to recycle portions of their own previously published work or to include another author’s material. When an author recycles text, charts, photographs, or other graphics from his/her own previously published material, the author shall:
  1. Adhere to all copyright policies, clearly indicate all recycled material and provide a full reference to the original publication of the material.
  2. If the previously published or submitted material is used as a basis for a new submission, clearly indicate how the new submission differs from the previously published work(s).

2. Peer Review Policy

• ICETA Review Policy requires at least two qualified reviewers evaluate a submitted article before the editor can reach a decision. Each submitted article will be reviewed by min. two reviewers – Members of ICETA International Program Committee.
• ICETA reviewers are experts in article’s subject matter to evaluate the article and provide feedback.
• Reviewers comment on a variety of points such as whether the study is well designed or if the results are too preliminary. Reviewers can help authors hone key points, identify and resolve errors, and generate new ideas.
• The reviewers’ feedback informs ICETA editor’s decision on whether to accept or reject the article.
• Single-blind type of peer review is used at ICETA´s review process. The names of the reviewers are not shared with the author but the reviewers are aware of the author’s identity.
• During the peer review process, editors, and reviewers look for the following.
  1. Scope: Is the article appropriate for this publication?
  2. Novelty: Is this original material distinct from previous publications?
  3. Validity: Is the study well designed and executed?
  4. Data: Are the data reported, analyzed, and interpreted correctly?
  5. Clarity: Are the ideas expressed clearly, concisely, and logically?
  6. Compliance: Are all ethical and conference requirements met?
  7. Advancement: Is this a significant contribution to the field?
• The decision process:
  1. Accept - Upon acceptance, you may be asked to complete additional steps. For example, providing final high-quality files or signing a publishing agreement. Promptly complete any requested tasks to avoid publication delays. Learn more about your role in article production.
  2. Revise - the most common type of decision. You will be asked to make changes and submit a revised version for further consideration. The scope of the changes can range from small corrections to major rewriting. The decision letter will include the reviewers’ suggestions on how to improve the article. You should include a point-by-point reply that addresses each suggestion when you submit the revised article.
  3. Reject - if your article is rejected, the decision letter will explain why. The letter may include suggestions for improving your article before you submit it to another publication.
