Currency

The official currency in Slovakia is the Slovak crown – SKK (abr. Sk). The current exchange rate is about 1 EUR = 32,50 Sk.

Credit cards

Visa and MasterCard are the most widely accepted credit cards. The hotels at the conference venue accept payments by credit card. The nearest ATMs are in the cities Poprad, Starý Smokovec, and Tatranska Lomnica.

Insurance

The Organizing Committee does not accept any liability or responsibility for death, illness or injury to persons or for the loss of, or damage to property or for any financial loss of any person attending the Conference. Participants should make their own arrangements in respects of health and travel insurance.

Post services

The nearest post office is 2 km from the Conference venue, in Tatranska Lomnica.

Smoking

Smoking in the Conference building is not allowed.

Climate and Weather

The conference venue lies on slop of high mountains at altitude abover 700 M above the sea. In September the weather in the High Tatras is usually very stable but exceptions can occur. In every case we recommend you to take warm clothing, good shoes and umbrella, so you will be not surprised by weather change when you wil lgo even for a small trip. In the second half of September the morning temperature reaches 5 °C but also it can fall to zero. During sunny days the temperature reaches 15 °C.
